Nestled on the West Bank of the Nile and the island of Gharb Soheil, these bright, mud-brick villages are home to the indigenous Nubian people, whose distinct culture, language, and heritage date back thousands of years.
Your journey begins with a scenic motorboat ride through the protected, boulder-strewn islands of the Nile First Cataract. Upon arrival, you will wander through labyrinthine streets lined with instantly recognizable blue, yellow, and pink domed houses. From tasting authentic home-cooked delicacies and learning about their unique relationship with Nile crocodiles, to sipping traditional mint tea inside a local family home, this tour offers a deeply respectful, immersive, and unforgettable cultural connection.
