04:30 PM – Private Hotel or Cruise Pickup
Your experience begins with a hassle-free pickup directly from your Aswan hotel or Nile Cruise ship. Your private driver will transport you in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle straight to the marina. (Note: Pickup time may adjust slightly depending on the season to perfectly match the sunset).
05:00 PM – Cast Off & Traditional Welcome
Step aboard your private Felucca, where your experienced Nubian captain will welcome you. As the sail is unfurled and catches the breeze, you will glide out onto the cleanest and most beautiful stretch of the Nile River. Sip on a complimentary glass of traditional Egyptian Hibiscus tea (Karkadeh) or mint tea as you settle into the cushioned seating area.
05:30 PM – Scenic Sailing Past Aswan's Wonders
Your captain will expertly navigate the river currents, sailing you past some of Aswan's most famous landmarks. You will get incredible, close-up views from the water of:
Elephantine Island: Packed with ancient ruins and vibrant Nubian villages.
Kitchener’s Island (Botanical Gardens): A lush, green oasis in the middle of the river.

06:15 PM – The Golden Hour & Sunset
As the sun begins to dip below the Sahara Desert hills, the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas of brilliant oranges, deep pinks, and purples. The granite rocks of Aswan reflect the warm light, creating a magical atmosphere. This is the absolute perfect time for unforgettable photos.
07:00 PM – Return to Port & Transfer
As twilight falls and the first stars appear, your captain will gently guide the Felucca back to the dock. Your private driver will be waiting at the marina to escort you comfortably back to your hotel or cruise ship.

What happens if there is absolutely no wind on the day of our tour?
A: Because traditional Feluccas are 100% wind-powered, they rely on a breeze to move. In the rare event of a completely calm, windless evening, we will automatically upgrade your booking to a traditional Nubian motorboat. You will still enjoy the exact same beautiful sunset route around the islands without getting stuck on the river!

Is the Felucca trip safe for young children or seniors?
A: Yes, it is incredibly safe and gentle. The waters around Aswan’s islands are very calm, with no rough waves. The boat is wide, stable, and lined with comfortable, cushioned benches. However, please note that feluccas do not have standard modern restrooms on board, so we recommend using the facilities at your hotel or the marina before boarding.
